Presented by
Santa Teresa is an arts, comedy and music festival built on a human scale, which gives us the ideal context to adopt a measurable eco-responsible approach and encourage our partners to follow suit with us.
Since 2019, the festival has decided to make a major shift, in collaboration with RECYC-QUÉBEC, to lead this inevitable change and inspire event organizers to follow in its footsteps.
OUR AREAS OF FOCUS
- RECYCLE AND COMPOST RIGHT
Waste sorting stations, cigarette butt collection points and a green squad are deployed throughout the festival site to ensure eco-responsible management of recyclable and compostable materials.
- DRINK RESPONSIBLY
When it comes to H2O, we look to avoid waste as much as possible. You won't find bottled water here, but instead Ecocup glasses that you can fill (just like your bottle) at our free filling stations.
- BUY LOCAL AND BUY LESS
When it comes to festival supplies, we give priority to renting over buying whenever possible. If we have to buy, we favour locally-sourced and recycled products, as well as eco-responsible suppliers.
- RIDING TOGETHER IS BETTER, AND MORE FUN
Since we're out of town, we've developed an agreement with EXO to offer free shuttle buses from the Laval metro to Santa Teresa and back, to encourage our festival-goers to use public transport.
- WORKING TOGETHER TO INSPIRE CHANGE
We aspire to play a leading role in event eco-responsibility by encouraging our partners, decision-makers, employees and other festivals to take similar steps to maximise our impact.
- ALWAYS GREENER
From a future solar-powered stage to clean-fuel generators, we're always looking for new solutions to maximise the movement's reach. We're not there yet, but we're working on it!
