In December 2019, Solids played three shows to mark their ten-year anniversary—but also, and more importantly, it marked the beginning of one of those infamous indefinite hiatuses of their career.

Five years later, a desire to put some definition around that so-called hiatus begins to emerge. Some jams happen, and it quickly becomes clear—yeah, this thing still works. The band (Xavier Germain Poitras on guitar & vocals, and Louis Guillemette on drums & vocals), who had been joined live from 2016 to 2019 by guitar hero Guillaume Chiasson (Bon Enfant, Jesuslesfilles, Ponctuation...), decides to return to its original duo format, now jamming with some new toys in hand. The jam remains the heart of it all.

So, with nothing more than the desire to jam through a real PA, a few shows are lined up this fall. Shows just for the sake of playing shows—because that’s reason enough. Come through, it’s gonna be wild.
