P'TIT BELLIVEAU

P’tit Belliveau is the full-time project of Acadian pop experimentalist and prime alien Jonah Guimond, the creator of generational anthems like “Income Tax” and “J’aimerais d’avoir un John Deere.” Originally from Baie-Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia, he navigates life as a series of adventures that he turns into songs for the greater good. Some say he’s a humble goblin-mode prophet simply trying to feeler bonne and feeler great by creating for others: so the world can have just a little more love.

Following his first three EPs in 2017–2018, people found him charming. With the release of Greatest Hits Vol. 1 in 2020, his potential became clear (named Revelation of the Year at GAMIQ and winner of the Félix Award for Album Production of the Year at the ADISQ Gala). With his second album Un homme et son piano in 2022, the scope of the phenomenon became undeniable (four sold-out shows at Club Soda). With P’tit Belliveau, his third album set for release in 2024, we’re heading straight for the oracle of the “[...] big sold-out poster at the Bell Centre [...].”.
