Grand Eugène is an indie-rock band with dream pop influences based in Montreal. The group's first songs were written on the dining table of a Vancouver apartment, with demos being sent back and forth by email to Montreal.

Every song exposes their vulnerability with readily-written and accessible lyrics that feel more like spoken word than music. Perhaps it was the desire to be understood in French in an English-speaking city that steered the lyrics in this direction. In any case, the language matters little, because on stage, Grand Eugène's music moves people.
